The Discovery Garden at Bellwood Elementary school is used as a tool to improve math and science skills. Learning germination rates, measuring space, and weighing produce put math skills to practice. Dr. Warren Anderson and the Rutherford County Master Gardeners have been active in this project for several years. Students find this a fun and enjoyable approach to improving their math and science knowledge.
